The Institute of Drug Metabolism and Pharmaceutical Analysis of Zhejiang University consists of five research groups: Lab of Drug Metabolism, Lab of Precision Medicine and Biodrug, Lab of Drug Design and Computational Biology, Lab of Innovative Drug Research and Bioinformatics and Lab of Pharmaceutical Analysis. The institute is dedicated to understanding a variety of diseases so as new drugs.

Currently, there are 15 faculties, including 7 full professors, 5 associate professors, and 2 lecturers. The prizes they were awarded include “The National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars”, “Special government allowances of the State Council”, “Millions of Talent Projects”, “Youth Science and technology innovation leader”, “Thousand Talent Program for Young Scholars”, “Qiushi Distinguished Professor of Zhejiang University” and so on. The institute has established several National and Provincial Key Laboratories as well as Key disciplines, including the Key Cultural Discipline of Pharmaceutical Analysis in Ministry of Education of China, the Key Discipline of Analysis of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the State Administration of Traditional Medicine of China, the national Technical Platform of Drug Metabolism, the National Third-Level Laboratory in TCM Metabolism and Analysis, and the Innovative Team Specialized in the Research and Development of Small molecule Drugs. The institute has participated in the Zhejiang Province Key Laboratory of Anti-Cancer Drug Research, and the Key Laboratory for the Treatment and Prevention of Special Damage in the Army. It has also participated in the establishment of the Evaluation and Research Center of Drug Safety in Zhejiang University which is authenticated by NMPA.

We have been granted with 3 major projects from the National Natural Science Foundation, 1 Platform Project from the National Key Innovative New Drug Program, 1 National Key R&D Program of China, more than 30 National Natural Sciences and Youth Projects; more than 20 granted invention patents; 1 clinical approvals of new drugs; more than 200 papers published in Sci Transl Med, Nat Commnu, Adv Mater, ACS Cent Sci, WIREs Comput Mol Sci, PNAS, JACS, Nucleic Acids Res, Adv Drug Delivery Rev, Trends Pharmacol Sci, J Med Chem, Bioinformatics, Drug Metab Dispos, Anal Chem, J Chem Theo Comput, J Chromatogr A, Mol Pharmaceut, J Chem Inf Model, Phys Chem Chem Phys, etc.
