Dr. HU was named Secretary of the Communist Party Committee & Vice Dean of College of Pharmaceutical Sciences Zhejiang University in March 2017. Dr. HU mainly engaged in pharmaceutical molecular research and obtained a lot of original research achievements and great society and economy performance in the area of drug molecular targeted therapy, drug controlled release and technical innovation in pharmaceutical engineering. He has published more than 30 SCI articles and been cited more than 1700 times in recent 5 years and was listed in the “Most Cited Chinese Researchers” by ELSEVIER for four consecutive years. He was in charge of 5 projects including National Science and Technology Major Projects and National Natural Science Foundation of China. He attained 6 items of utility patents, 1 item of the second prize of National Scientific and Technological Progress Award, 1 item of the first prize of the provincial award and he was also involved in the establishment of 2 standards for Chinese Pharmacopoeia. He is the vice director in Pharmaceutical Professional Committee of Chinese Pharmaceutical Association and Biological Particles Professional Committee of Chinese Society of Particuology and also the review experts of national drug and the editorial board of Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica.

Dr. HU’s major research is focused on drug molecular targeted therapy, drug controlled release and molecular pharmaceutics.
