Strengthen international exchanges and promote cooperation

Because of the invitation of the Italian National Institutes of Health, Department of  Chinese Medicine Science and Engineering organized teachers including  research management and laboratory management to visit Pharmacy College of University of Florence and Pharmacy College of the University of Milan  in October.  Our group exchanged  scientific management andworld-class laboratory management experience. Botanicals quality control standards and  collaborative research in cardiovascular drug action mechanism were also discussed.

Colleges of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Milan University and  Florence University are the leading European College of Pharmaceutical Sciences. They have a long history and a large international impact. The group of visiting scholar was entertained by Professor Franco FrancescoVincieri, who is the former president of the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences of University of Florence and  the authority of the European herbal research. In specialized academic exchange meeting, Professor Vincieri and his research team presented the research direction of the school of Pharmaceutical Sciences, scientific research, international cooperation and exchanges. The two sides also discussed scholar exchange, cooperation in scientific research, postgraduate exchanges, science and technology management. The in-depth discussions and reached cooperation intentions included: 1) Both sides collaborative research scholars in the field of pharmacopoeia the botanicals quality standards and botanicals standard materials research; 2) Accept Pharmaceutical Informatics Institute of Zhejiang University scholars and graduate students to learn and access; 3) to apply for international cooperation projects.

In the Colleges of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Milan University, our group visited a world-class level of cardiovascular pharmacology laboratory accompanied by the head of the Department, Professor E. Tremoli. Professors of  both sides introduced direction of research, scientific results, science and technology management, laboratory management, international cooperation and exchanges, and carried out an in-depth discussion of the research project of scientific and technological cooperation between the two countries. Professor Tremoli et al. expressed great interest in cooperative research.

One of the most important features of this visit is that our group composed of teachers of research management, laboratory management and staff. We compared the experiences of the Sino-Italian University College of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Pharmacy graduate education, science and technology management, laboratory management, and international scientific and technological cooperation.
