PhD candidate Xia Liqun and Master students Chen Yixin from College of Pharmaceutical Sciences attended the 10th conference of the Asian Crystallographic Association during Oct. 31st and Nov. 3rd.
The conference was organized by Korean Crystallographic Association, sponsored by Asian Crystallographic Association and International Union of Crystallography. Around 500 experts and students from more than 20 countries joined the conference. The conference presents the latest progress in structural biology, the elucidation of some important micromolecule and protein 3D structure as well as the advanced structure determination technics.

About 300 posters were displayed during the poster session. “Structural analysis of raucaffricine glucosidase, a central enzyme in the alkaloid biosynthetic network of Indian plant Rauvolfia” by Xia Liqun and “Characterization and crystallization of perakine reductase, an enzyme involved in monoterpenoid indole alkaloid biosynthesis” by Chen Yixin were showed at the conference. They introduced the research progress of Prof. Stoeckigt’s group and their own achievements in scientific research.
