A Grand Opening Ceremony Held for New Graduates of College of Pharmaceutical Sci

On September 7, the opening ceremony for new post-graduate was held in the college's new multipurpose room. Leads of the college professor Li Lianda, Zeng Su, Chen Shuqing and Hu Yongzhou attended. The opening ceremony was hosted by Zhang Xiaoyuan, deputy secretary of the party committee. Professor Li Lianda made a speech “A sacred work and a great career”. Professor Su, executive vice president also delivered an important speech.  

At 9:00, the grand ceremony started. Professor Li Lianda, the Dean of the Faculty and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering made a speech “A sacred work and a great career” for the new graduate students. In his report, Dr. li started from medicine work, a sacred work to save lives so as to ensure human health work. He invoked examples to deepen students’ understating of the pharmaceutical industry. And he even used the case of Chinese medicine personnel’s fight against "SARS" to encourage everybody to cultivate great dedication of not being afraid of hardship, strain and death. Then he solemnly asked them learn to be a person before learning to do things. And he said scholarship fraud will never be allowed.

 

    

 

Professor Su, executive vice president of College of Pharmaceutical Sciences briefly reviewed the history of the colleges and its teaching conditions. Next,  Professor Su focused on the transformation of learning ideas, updating  of creative talents’ learning concepts , the changing of learning methods and college’s personnel training model . Finally, Professor Su stressed again his idea of “learn to be a person before learning to do things” and he put forward   strict requirements on the ethics of science and academic norms for new graduate students.
