On May 22, the “Passing the University Flag” Campaign started at the Zijingang Campus. The flag, bearing more than a century of glory and tradition, will journey across the world so that the spirit of seeking truth may continue to thrive through generations.

Zhen Gu, Associate Vice President of Zhejiang University and professor at the School of Pharmacy (SoPh), and Chun Long, an alumnus from the Class of 1982, served as flag bearers. Nearly 100 SoPh faculty members and students joined the relay.

During the event, Gu received the university flag from Academician Hefeng Huang of the School of Medicine, symbolizing closer collaboration between medicine and pharmacy and their shared commitment to Zhejiang University’s development as a world-class university.

Long then received the flag from Gu and continued the relay. After the event, he expressed his gratitude to his alma mater and his pride in taking part. Faculty members and students also shared their pride in the University’s progress and their best wishes for its future.
