College of Pharmaceutical Sciences Zhejiang University sent 5 teachers and  5 students to Cambodia from July 8 to 12 for investigationand research on the pharmaceutical industry. The group was led by the professors and teachers of CPS-ZJU, Yongping Yu, Lu Li, Wenwen Yan, Yanan Du, and Xiao Xu, and accompanied by five PhD students and undergraduates.

During the research period, the practice group came to Kausma Sino-Cambodia Friendship Hospital for visit and exchange. Vice President Ny Chanty, Ouk Saram, Sopehan Sahakcheat and clinical experts of the hospital warmly welcomed the arrival of teachers and students and introduced the overview of China-Cambodia Friendship Hospital from four aspects, including hospital background, organizational structure, digital management and clinical cases. Afterwards, the two sides carried out talks and exchanges around the local medical resources in Cambodia, drug supply and distribution, legal regulations on drug use, and clinical application of traditional Chinese medicine, etc. During the exchanges, the delegation learned that the hospital has a very good reputation in the field of medicine. The group learned that Kausma Sino-Cambodian Friendship Hospital is a comprehensive hospital established with the assistance of the Chinese government, and China continuously dispatches medical experts to provide clinical diagnosis and guidance on the use of medicines. Afterwards, the delegation exchanged ideas with the Chinese medical team of CCHF, investigated the application and promotion of Chinese medicine in Cambodia and the digital management and distribution system of medicines, and visited the Chinese medicine clinic, pharmacy, emergency room, imaging department and so on.

The delegation conducted research on the local pharmaceutical enterprises in Cambodia represented by Sundelis Pharmaceuticals Co. Teachers and students gained an in-depth understanding of Cambodia's biopharmaceutical industry and the current situation of drug market regulation, and also introduced the scientific research foundation and transformation strength of CPS-ZJU to the representative of the local pharmaceutical enterprises.

During the research period, the delegation carried out exchanges with teachers and students of Jianhua Cambodian University of Technology, a local university in Cambodia. Teachers and students visited the teaching building and laboratories, and discussed and exchanged views on the construction of applied science disciplines in Cambodia, the intersection of AI and life sciences, and the inheritance and development of Chinese culture.
