On Dec. 21^st, Prof. Jun Zhu from College of Pharmacy, University of South Carolina (CoP-USC) visited CPS-ZJU and had a meeting with undergraduate students. Prof. FAN Xiaohui, vice dean of CPS-ZJU hosted the meeting. Students of ZHOU Yi, XU Lingyu and WANG Yingying shared their experience in CoP-USC.

Prof. Jun Zhu, the supervisor of CPS-ZJU & CoP-USC Final-year Project & Research Study Program, accepted 3 students from CPS-ZJU and guided their research study in his lab every year. From 2010, 14 students have joined this program and carried their research study in CoP-USC, USA.

At the meeting, Prof. FAN Xiaohui first expressed warm welcome and sincere appreciation to Prof. Jun Zhu for his great support to our students in the past years. Then, Prof. Jun Zhu gave a brief introduction to the information on teaching and research of CoP-USC and his research work on the mechanism of HIV-associated neurocognitive disorders (HAND) concerning dopamine transporter (DAT). Also, he gave a highly comment on the job of students from CPS-ZJU in his lab during the past years. ZHOU Yi, XU Lingyu and WANG Yingying shared their research experience and feeling when they were in CoP-USC.

Prof. Jun Zhu’s visit provides students valuable guidance on studying abroad and also greatly promoted the in-depth cooperation between CPS-ZJU and CoP-USC.
