The Training Program for the Major of Chinese Materia Medica

Aim
The major aims to cultivate a global vision, innovative spirit and competitiveness in the research and development of modern Chinese medicine and to develop talent and future leaders in Chinese materia medica and Traditional Chinese Medicine engineering.

Requirement
Students in this major are mainly equipped with the basic theory, knowledge and research methods of Chinese materia medica and receive training in various aspects of pharmaceutical research and Chinese pharmaceutical technology etc.. They should master modern pharmaceutical engineering, technology and other related skills.

Graduates should obtain the following knowledge and ability:
1.  Master the basic theory, knowledge and techniques of Chinese materia medica.
2.  Master the research methods and process for modern Chinese drug preparation.
3.  Master the knowledge and techniques of Chinese pharmaceutical engineering
4.  Understand the trend of Chinese medicine and medical company’s innovative ideas and modes.

Introduction of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Pharmacology of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Medicinal Chemistry of Natural Products, Analysis of Western Pharmaceuticals and Traditional Chinese Medicine, Modern Engineering of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Pharmaceutical Process Measurement and Control, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology
