Postgraduates Education profile and instructor information

     Since the combination of four major universities in 1998, College of pharmaceutical sciences has achieved a marked success in postgraduate education by promoting multidisciplinary collaboration and resource integration and introducing overseas talents to innovate the teaching philosophy.
    
     The institution ranked fourth in China discipline ranking of 2009 conducted by the Ministry of Education.

     Meanwhile,  the college has a group of excellent teaching faculty, either full-time or part-time, including members of Chinese Academy of Engineering, Distinguished Professor of Changjiang scholars program, Distinguished Professor of Qiushi scholars program and Winners of the National Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars. Currently, there are about 100 PhD students and 170 Master’s Degree students studying here.

     Presently, the college  has started PhD programs in Pharmaceutical analysis, pharmacology, medicinal chemistry and pharmaceutics. Master’s Degree Programs in Pharmacy and traditional Chinese Medicine, Special Master’s Degree Programs, which is intended for both full-time and part-time students, in pharmacy.

     To fulfill social needs, the institution provides postgraduate courses for in-service staffs. Degrees of equal education and thesis studies are also available.
    
     In the last 5 years, postgraduate students have achieved a lot of successes, including a second prize of National Award for Science and Technology Progress, plenty of provincial awards of science and technology progress, more than 20 granted patents, and three nominations for distinguished doctorial dissertations nationwide. About 100 research articles are published every year in SCI journals.

     Under the guidance of the university motto "Seeking the Truth and Pioneering New Trails", the college is devoted to the better education for young researchers in pharmaceutical sciences and encourage them to develop an international perspective and support them to become the future leaders in the field.
