In the morning of July 20, the Scientific Research Forum was held by College of Pharmaceutical Sciences in Xixi Campus. The meeting focused on topics about grasping  opportunities of integration of scientific disciplines resources, organizing interdisciplinary projects, building a national platform for research, exploring technological innovations and upgrading the overall scientific research strength, means and methods.

  This is the beginning year of “11th Five-Year Plan” of scientific and technological development program, and also the first year for our college to forge ahead towards the new development goal . We are facing with a new development goals. But on the basis of the current situation that even that the development has been achieved to a certain extent, the overall size is still too small and the available advantageous source is too limited, we should realize that we should take a unconventional way of development. On the meeting, we focused on several pressing topics, such as integration of various disciplines resources, academic preparation for the West Lake Forum, major projects of “11th Five-Year Plan”, establishment of base, platform and laboratory. Everyone freely expressed their opinions and put forward good suggestions and proposals.  

Cheng Yuyi, vice president of the college, who was also in charge of research, chaired the forum. In his concluding remarks, he called on the related persons or teams to be responsible for the implementation of the consensus reached at the meeting on a number of issues. All other leaders of the college, professors, deputy director of research institute and some associate professors were invited to the forum.
