The 8th New National Medicine Doctor Forum- Chinese Medicine Industry Modernizat

Held by Chinese 21 Century Agenda Administration Center of National Science Ministry, undertook by Zhejiang Chinese Medicine College, Medicine Department of Zhejiang University and Huali Medicine, The 8th New National Medicine Doctor Forum- Chinese Medicine Industry Modernization Seminar held from March 25 to 26 in Hangzhou.200 experts on medicine including academicians from Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, doctors and principals of research department of many famous medicine enterprises attended the forum, on which they discussed about Chinese Medicine industry modernization and internationalization.

New National Medicine Doctor Forum is a seminar held by Chinese 21 Century Agenda Administration Center of National Science Ministry. It had been held for 7 times. It provides a good chance for communication on medicine research and science creation. And it plays a very important part for hurry up the step of Chinese Medicine’s modernization and internationalization.

At the meeting, three academicians from Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, those were Professor Chen Kaixian, Sun Handong and Li Lianda made speeches. And another 8 experts made speeches on special topic. Besides, 40 doctors from some research institutes and pharmacy corporations communicated on their research on Chinese medicine. At last after appraising through comparison, 10 excellent papers were recommended, including 1 First Prize, 3 Second Prize and 6 Third Prize. Zhu Dan and Fang Liang from our Department respectively got the Second Prize and Third Prize.

The opening sitting was held by Xiao Shiying, the section chief of Chinese 21 Century Agenda Administration Center. Leaders from State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, State Food and Drug Administration, Science Office of Zhejiang Province and the government of Hangzhou city were invited to the meeting.
