On April 18, invited by our college, Dr. Cutler Stephen J., dean of College of Pharmacy, University of South Carolina (COP-USC) , Dr.Creek Kim E., vice deanof COP-USCand Associate Professor Dr. ZHU Jun visited CPS-ZJU. Dr. YANG Bo, dean of CPS-ZJU, Dr. GAO Jianqing, vice dean, Dr. FAN Xiaohui, vice deans of CPS-ZJU, Ms. TIAN Minjie, Deputy Director of International Relations Office Zhejiang University and Dr. GAN Lishe took part in the reception.

The delegation first visited the history museum of ZJU and appreciated the development of ZJU. After that, the delegation had a forum with the teachers of CPS-ZJU. In the forum, Dr. YANG Bo warmly welcomed the delegation. Later, Dr. FAN Xiaohui introduced the basic information of CPS-ZJU and the current situation of the cooperation between two sides. Later, both sides expressed the wish of keeping the original senior undergraduate graduation project and discussed the further cooperation in research and doctorate enrollment based on the current cooperation.  Finally, Dr. YANG Bo signed an agreement to continue cooperation with Dr. Cutler Kim J., and both sides exchanged gifts with each other.

In the afternoon, Dr. Cutler CUTLER Kim J. and Dr. Creek CREEK Kim E. gave lectures for teachers and students. Dr. CutlerCUTLER Kim J. introduced his work on natural chemical products while Dr. Creek CREEK Kim E. introduced the basic information of COP-USC. They both answered students’ questions with great patience. After the lectures, the delegation visited laboratories with the guidance of Dr. YING Meidan and Dr. GONG Xingchu.

The visit of COP-USCUSC strengths the cooperation of two sides and enhances the understanding of each other, offering an international stage for our students.
