At the invitation of Gifu Pharmaceutical University, Dean Zhen Gu, Vice Dean Huirong Yang , Director of Institute of Pharmaceutics Jianqing Gao and five doctoral students to visit Japan recently.

The president of Gifu Pharmaceutical University Prof. Hara expressed his warm welcome to the arrival of the faculty and students of ZJU-CPS. Both sides introduced the basic situation of the development of the discipline of pharmacy, exchanged views and discussed about the cooperation in scientific research and teaching, and expressed the good wishes of strengthening the exchange and expanding the cooperation. The delegation visited the laboratories of chemistry, pharmacology, hygiene and molecular science of Gifu University of Pharmacy and its affiliated pharmacy.

During the exchange session, Prof. Zhen Gu and Prof. Jianqing Gao gave academic presentations on Bioresponsive Bioinspired Drug Delivery and Stem Cells-Based Drug Delivery System for Targeting Disease Therapy, showcasing their latest research results. Five PhD students from ZJU-CPS also introduced their respective research fields and the latest research progress. Teachers and students from both sides had a warm exchange around the content of the presentations.

The visit is a continuation and deepening of the academic and cultural exchanges between the two schools in the past forty years, and opens up a new situation for deepening the stable co-operation and exchange of visits between the two sides.
