On March 5, 2022 Academic Committee Meeting of Zhejiang Province Key Laboratory of Advanced Drug Delivery System was held in Hangzhou by combining online and offline. Academician Guangji Wang , Chairman of Academic Committee, China Pharmaceutical University; Academician Weihong Tan, Vice Chairman, Institute of Basic Medicine and Oncology, Chinese Academy of Sciences; Academician Chunhai Fan, Vice Chairman, Shanghai Jiaotong University; Academician Guanghui Ma, Vice Chairman, Institute of Process Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and more than ten experts from Peking University, Fudan University, Nanjing University, Sun Yat-sen University, South China University of Technology, West Lake University, Shanghai Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, National Center for Nanoscience, etc. attended the meeting. Jinhong Zhou, Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Zhejiang Province, Hongbing Shi, Executive Vice President of the Institute of Science and Technology of Zhejiang University, and Jingbo Weng, Director of the Department of Research Platform Management, were invited to attend the meeting. Professor Zhen Gu, Dean of CPS-ZJU and Director of the Key Laboratory, Professor Fuqiang Hu, Secretary of the Party Committee and Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory, Prof. Xiaohui Fan, Vice President and Deputy Director of Key Laboratory, and scientific researchers from key laboratories and the head of the Research Office of the College attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Professor Hu Fuqiang.

Mr. Hongbing Shi delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the laboratory, expressed his warm welcome to the participating leaders and experts, and expressed his heartfelt thanks to them for their support to the construction and development of the key laboratory, and said that Zhejiang University will, as always, support and serve to ensure that the key laboratory is to be an important base that serves to government, industry, academia, research and application, and contributes to the development of Zhejiang Province and China's pharmaceutical industry.

The meeting read out the approval of the establishment of the laboratory and announced the list of all members of the first academic committee. Jinhong Zhou and Hongbing Shi presented the appointment letters to the members of the academic committee, and Zhen Gu presented the appointment letters to the special academic advisors of the academic committee.

Zhen Gu gave the work report to the academic committee on the overall developing aim of the key laboratory, research directions, team development, platform establishment, open foundation of laboratory, expected goals and primary focus. Academician Guangji Wang presided over the discussion session of the academic members, who put forward pertinent opinions and valuable suggestions on scientific research, talent training and social services of the laboratory, fully affirming that the laboratory team has achieved high quality innovation results and social impact, and expecting the laboratory to focus on clinical and industrial needs with the support of the Department of Science and Technology of Zhejiang Province, Zhejiang University and the CPS, dovetailing with the major development strategies of the country and Zhejiang Province, and providing the best services for discipline construction, talent training and research. We expect that the laboratory, with the support of Zhejiang Provincial Department of Science and Technology, Zhejiang University and CPS, will focus on clinical and industrial requirements, dovetail with national and Zhejiang Province's major development strategies, and make greater contributions to discipline construction, talent training, government decision-making and social services.
