From Dec. 7^th to 9^th, the 11^th National University Student Pharmacy Forum, sponsored by the Pharmacy Professional Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, organized by CPS-ZJU has successfully held in Zijingang campus, Zhejiang University. More than 450 teachers and students from nearly 100 colleges such as Peking University, Zhejiang University, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, The Second Military Medical University, The Third Military Medical University and The Fourth Military Medical University participated in the competition, with a total of 153 entries.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Prof. HU Fuqiang, Secretary of the Party Committee of CPS-ZJU. Prof. ZHANG Guangxin, Dean of Undergraduate School of ZJU, Prof. SONG Gonghua, Vice Chairman of the Pharmacy Professional Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, and Prof. YANG Bo, Dean of CPU-ZJU delivered their speeches respectively. Prof. SONG Gonghua from East China University of Science and Technology, Prof. ZHAO Wei from Shandong University and Prof. FAN Xiaohui from Zhejiang University gave reports on the conference.

The forum began with poster exhibitions, with a total of 153 posters. The poster exhibition aims to promote academic exchange between different schools and disciplines. The exhibition was packed with participants who actively demonstrated their research and listeners including experts, teachers and students. In the end, 31 posters won the Excellent Poster Award according to the votes by students.

In the review of thesis and oral defense, 30 judges from different disciplines conducted a review of the participating projects. The confident expression and accurate answers of the participating students were highly recognized by the experts. After the voting of experts and student representatives, there were 2 Special Prize, 30 First Prize, 46 Second Prize, 75 Third Prize for Innovation Achievements, and 31 Excellent Thesis Award. Two students from CPS-ZJU have received a First Prize and a Second Prize for Innovation Achievements, 1 Excellent Thesis Award and 2 Excellent Poster Awards in all. Student Zhipei of CPU-ZJU won the slam because of her fluent English and professional presentation.

The National University Student Pharmacy Forum has distinctive features among the national competitions for college students, which is also an important measure for cultivating high-quality innovative talents, strengthening exchanges between universities and making common progress. The scientific research done by undergraduates can have a wider and deeper influence with the help this platform. To uphold “Seeking Truth” and “Pursuing Innovation” and to create first-class pharmacy for human health are our purposes of hosting this forum.
