China Nanomedicine & The Third International Conference on Nanomedicine was held in Shanghai by institutions of Chinese Academy of Sciences Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Pharmaceutical Association Committee of Nanomedicine, Chinese Anti-Cancer Association Committee of Nanooncology, Chinese Society of Toxicology Committee of Nanotoxicology and Chinese Chemical Society Committee of Nanochemistry from Oct.15th to18th. The theme of the conference was The Innovation and Change of Nanomedicine. Leading scientists, experts and scholars from academic, clinical and industrial fieldsfrom the worldcarried out multidisciplinary discussions and had in-depth communications around the conference theme.

Prof. HU Fuqiang, Prof. GAO Jianqing and Prof. LING Daishun from Institute of Pharmaceutics, Zhejiang University were invited to attend the meeting. As the host of parallel sessions, Pro. HU Fuqiang and Pro. GAO Jianqing gave lectures on Mitochondria-specific heat shock and drug release triggered by NIR irradiation for precise cancer chemo-phototherapy and The effect of liposomal drug encapsulation on the development and prevention of drug resistance respectively. And Prof. LING Daishun gave his talk on Dynamic nanoparticle assemblies for biomedical applications at Youth Parallel Session on Nanomedicine.

After the conference, professors from Institute of Pharmaceutics, Zhejiang University were invited to the Asian Conference on Nanoscience and Nanotechnology held by The National Center for Nanoscience and Technology, University of Science and Technology Beijing and Institute of Chemistry Chinese Academy of Sciences from Oct.18th to 21st. This conference was held every two years and held alternately by China, Japan and Korea. It was an important academic conference on nanotechnology in Asia. The conference focused on innovations and challenges in Nanochemistry and Nanomaterials, and was devoted to promoting the innovation and cooperation in nanoscience and technology research in Asia. Pro. GAO Jianqing gave his lecture about Composite Local Delivery of Anti-inflammatory Drug and Stem Cells to Adjust Microenvironment after Spinal Cord Injury at Society of Nano-Biological Interfaces and Medical Nanoscience. Prof. LING Daishun, Prof. PING Yuan and Dr. LI Fangyuan gave their talks on Dynamic nanoparticle assemblies for biomedical applications, Material Solutions for Cancer Therapy and NIR-Triggered Tumor-Selective Photodynamic Therapy Using Upconversion Nanoparticle Based Nanoassemblies respectively.
