A delegation from College of Pharmaceutical Sciences Zhejiang University (CPS-ZJU) led by WANG Fang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of CPS-ZJU, DUYongzhong, Professor of Institute of Pharmaceutics, and ZHANG Hangtao, Principle InvestigatorofCollege of Pharmaceutical Sciences, paid a four-day visit to Gifu Pharmaceutical University on October15, 2018.

On the16th, the CPS-ZJU delegation visited the municipal office of Gifu City, where they received a warm welcome from Akihiko Aoyama, Vice Mayor of Gifu City. The two sides looked back the history of the friendly exchanges between Hangzhou and Gifu all year round. Mayor Aoyama also expressed his admiration for the developing status and beautiful scenery of Hangzhou and hoped a continuation of the friendly communication and cooperation between the two cities. Afterwards, the delegation visited the Hangzhou Gate Friendship Park, continuing the friendly exchanges between Hangzhou and Gifu.

On the 17th, the delegation visited Gifu Pharmaceutical University and was warmly welcomed by President Inagaki Longsui. The two sides introduced pharmaceutical research and education of both school and held a talk about the prospects for future enhancing substantial cooperation in more fields. JIANG Keqiu, undergraduate studentfrom CPS-ZJU, introduced the general information of Hangzhou as well as Zhejiang University. PENG Xueqian,KE Han, YU Dingyi,ZENG Lingweiand ZHOU Xueqin,anotherfiveundergraduate students from CPS-ZJU, gave talks about their research areas and academic achievements.Two Japanese students also presented their research results at the meeting. The teachers and students of the two sides had a positive discussion on their respective areas of interest, and the atmosphere of on-site academic discussion was very active. In the afternoon, the teachers of CPS-ZJU delegation took part in the Academic Exchange Meeting. On the meeting, WANG Fang introduced the basic information of Hangzhou and CPS-ZJU. DU Yongzhong and ZHANG Hangtaogave academic lectures on their respective academic fields and won the unanimous favorable comments from the participating teachers and students. Then, the delegation also visited laboratories and school affiliated pharmacies of the Gifu Pharmaceutical University.

The delegation's visit to Gifu Pharmaceutical University in Japan ended smoothly. The continuous and deepening academic and cultural exchanges between the two universities not only strengthened the friendly cooperation between Zhejiang University and Gifu Pharmaceutical University, but also promoted the development of scientific research between the two sides.
